WHITE SANDS DINING FACILITY - White sands Missile Range New Mexico

Harris Architects provided Interior Design and Internal Technical Building Design Review services as the Associate Architect of a Design-Build team lead by KZF Design.  The new dining facility is a 19,200 square foot 1 and ½ story building prototype whose exterior architectural design materials blends with the adjacent building on the base.  A 384-seat dining room is provided with an additional 24 person private dining area, equipped to feed an estimated 354 personnel in 1.5 hours.  Full-service commercial grade kitchen/servery/dishwashing, cold storage, dry and non-food storage areas are provided.   A 1 ½ story atrium is positioned over the central dining hall and permits natural light to enter the building interior through clerestory windows. The design achieved a LEED Rating of “Silver Certified. 

FORT HOOD DINING FACILITY - Fort Hood Texas

Harris Architects provided Interior Design and Internal Technical Building Design Review services as the Associate Architect of a Design-Build team lead by KZF Design.  The new $8.545 million dining facility is a 26,500 sq. ft., 1 ½ story building prototype whose exterior architectural design materials blend with the adjacent building on the base.  A 634-seat dining room is provided with an additional 50 person private dining area, equipped to feed an estimated 800 personnel in 1.5 hours.  Full-service commercial grade kitchen/servery/dishwashing, cold storage, dry and nonfood storage areas are provided.   The 1 ½ story atrium is positioned over the primary building entry and permits natural light into the building entry through clerestory windows. The design achieved a LEED Rating of “Silver Certified.
